Can Mycard (MyKad) Read Customer Information and Directly write into EMP?

Question:

Could we use Cherry TC 1100 USB MyKad Reader, in order to pull IC details to create customer membership?

Answer:

Enable the configuration in EMP; Control Panel → EMP Configuration → Customer → Customer Account Creation Configurations

The card reader will only detect some unique number that will be loaded to the system.
For example at Full Screen Cash Sale, put the cursor on the Membercard field. and scan the customer membercard to the card reader, the number will be passed to that box and it will be automatically passed to the EMP to search the membercard number.

Just need to make sure that when you purchase that card reader, make sure the driver compatible with your Windows version and installed properly.

MyKad User and Java Installation Guide

Step 1:

Download and install oracle jdk (Windows x86 version) from here :

Step 2:

Double click on the installation file and click next to install. Accept all default installation paths

Step 3:

Copy the JMyID.dll into C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre1.8.X_XX

Step 4:

Copy and replace the java.policy in C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre7\lib\security\

Step 5:

Next we will need to configure Java

Disable auto updates to prevent user from accidental updates

Select High Security Level

Add http://xxx.wavelet.biz  into the Exception Sit List
