How to delete unwanted categories in item categories

In order to delete a category, we need to make sure there is no item code tie-ing to the respective category before we delete it, if there is any item code tie to the category,the system will pop-out a message telling that the category is in use by some item code.

-1st we need to go to the item listing and find out what is the item code still tie-ing to the un wanted category.

in this case, assume that the item category we want to delete is NK.

these 3 item is the item tie-ing to the unwanted category NK

in the edit item panel, we need to change the item category to another selected category, in this case we choose NOKIA category

after we save changes, the item code will tie to the NOKIA category instead of NK category anymore.
now we need to go to the EXTENDED ITEM CATEGORIES to delete the NK category that we don’t want to use anymore.

Go to Inventory -> Item Categories -> Extended Categories

In Extended Item Categories panel, we need to generate the report to show the unwanted category position, in case the unwanted category is in Category 2

Then , in the listing ,find the unwanted category and delete it.
