Barcode Scanning Using Camera
Menu Path: Trading > Sales > Full Screen Cash Sale
The Full Screen Cash Sale page allows you to scan barcode into the EMP using a camera. This function is supported on Firefox for HTTP and can only be used for Chrome if the server is HTTPS (You may contact Wavelet if you wish to use HTTPS). It is beneficial for those stores that use Tablet and other devices to issue bills to the customer by scanning the Item directly.
NOTE: The function is supported if the Item Name has the Barcode number or via EAN Code (Edit Item> Other Details> EAN Code).
If Quantity is zero for the location, the scan will not show any result.
- User can scan the Barcode Item directly into the Full Screen Cash Sale using a Camera.
- Once you allow the permission for Camera. You will see an option of Scan Barcode with Camera as indicated in the following image.
- Upon clicking on the Scan Barcode With Camera button, the EMP will sync with the camera and allow u to scan.
Tips
The camera should have auto-focus, otherwise the image will be too blurry to be detected.
Related Permission & Configuration
The configuration can be navigated through Control Panel > System Admin > Configure Role Permissions.
Select the Role via drop down list and subsequently click on to Trading > General Permissions
